Marvel Studios is having a big year thanks to the box office-dominatingDeadpool & Wolverine, but the studio promises to bring plenty of superhero action to the small screen too. Continuing to expand the franchise on the streaming platform Disney+, Marvel has now revealed the full trailer of the very next installment in the MCU:Agatha All Along. Starring Kathryn Hahn as the titular Marvel witch, Agatha All Along reveals how Scarlet Witch’s enemy broke Wanda Maximoff’s binding spell at the end of WandaVision. Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Emma Caulfield, and Ali Ahn join Hahn in the MCU Phase 5 spinoff series, released on Disney+.
Set after the events ofWandaVision,Agatha All Alongfollows Agatha Harkness after she escapes the town of Westview, New Jersey, recruiting some unlikely allies along the way on her quest to regain her former powers.Agatha All Alongstars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, with Debra Jo Rupp, with Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza, and promises tobring more horrorand sorcery to the MCU. In fact, regarding the horror part, Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum has even gone so far as to call the series “really scary.”
“Agatha is really fun, but it’s really scary and it gets quite dramatic . She’s an amazing anti-hero and that show lures you in with the fun of Halloween, and before you know it, you’re crying… It’s a Marvel brand of scary. It’s a Halloween show. There are deadly stakes in this series . It’s a fun ride, but it’s a dangerous one.”
Created by Jac Schaeffer,Agatha All Alongcounts Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac Schaeffer as executive producers, and will be directed by Jac Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero.
Agatha All Alongis scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on July 31, 2025, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
