This new animated feature will take theBatmanfranchise back to the 1960s and will be recapturing the spirit of theBatmanTV series. Here is an official description of the movie to givefansan idea of what to expect.

“It’s back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman’s most fiendish foes - Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. This time, the four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City. It’s a truly fantastic adventure that will pit good against evil, good against good, evil against evil … and feature two words that exponentially raise the stakes for both sides: Replicator Ray. Holy Multiplication Tables!”

Not only areAdam WestandBurt Wardreturning to lend their voices once again for their iconic roles, butJulie Newmaris also returning as the voice ofCatwoman. While the movie will feature The Joker, The Riddler and The Penguin, their voices had to be recast because unfortunatelyCesar Romero,Frank GorshinandBurgess Meredithhave all passed away. Those who attend a screening ofReturn of the Caped Crusaderswill also be shown a new featurette about the influence of the Batman franchise’s villains, titledThose Dastardly Desperados. As if anyBatmanfans needed more reason to go.
