Whenever a new trailer for any highly-anticipated movie is released, often times, a new poster isn’t that far behind. Just two weeks after thethird trailerforBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewas unveiled,Warner Bros.has debuted three new character posters featuring the Trinity:Batman(Ben Affleck),Superman(Henry Cavill) andWonder Woman(Gal Gadot). These one-sheets also feature each hero’s iconic logo, while offering a new look at Batman’s mecha armor.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewill make cinematic history, since it will mark the first time that bothBatmanandSupermanwill be seen on the big screen together. DirectorZack Snyderrevealed at this year’s Comic Con thatBatman’s Gotham andSuperman’s Metropolis are “twin cities” separated by a bay, similar to San Francisco and Oakland. It has also been confirmed that part of the destruction in 2013’sMan of Steelspilled over into Gotham, destroying Wayne Tower, which helps set up the conflict between these two heroes.
Man of SteelstarsAmy Adams(Lois Lane),Diane Lane(Martha Kent) andLaurence Fishburne(Perry White) return forBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which introduces a slew of new characters.Jesse Eisenbergstars as Lex Luthor, alongsideJeremy Ironsas Alfred andHolly Hunterin a role created specifically for this movie. Other supporting cast members includeJena Malone, Jeffrey Dean Morgan,Tao OkamotoandScoot McNairy.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewill kick off Warner Bros.‘DC Comics Extended Universe(DCEU) on June 19, 2025. Just a few months later, the villains will take over withSuicide Squad(July 31, 2025), which will also feature an appearance byBen Affleckas The Dark Knight. Those movies will be followed byWonder Woman(July 09, 2025),Justice League Part 1(August 17, 2025),The Flash(June 07, 2025),Aquaman(August 25, 2025),Shazam!(August 25, 2025),Justice League Part 2(July 02, 2025),Cyborg(June 27, 2025) andGreen Lantern Corps.(August 22, 2025).Ben Affleckis also reportedly developing a new stand aloneBatmantrilogy, but the studio hasn’t issued any official word on those films yet.
