Some new images offer another look at Letitia Wright as Shuri andthe debut of Tenoch Huerta as NamorinBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever. Released courtesy ofEmpire, the new look at the latter comes courtesy of their latest cover, which finds Namor standing alongside Ramonda (Angela Bassett), T’Challa’s mother, and Shuri (Letitia Wright), the princess of Wakanda who is expected to take over the mantle of Black Panther in the upcoming sequel.
Wearing a large, regal, ceremonial headdress, Namor looks every bit the king he should.Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverwill make a few changes to the character for his entry into the MCU, changing the underwater kingdom of Atlantis to Talocan, and taking inspiration from Mayan and Aztec iconography. Despite these changes, Namor’s personality and purpose will remain the same, with the king stopping at nothing to protect his people.
The next new image fromBlack Panther: Wakanda Forevershows offLetitia Wrightas Shuri, who is expected to play a major role in the Marvel sequel following the tragic death of formerBlack Pantherlead Chadwick Boseman.
Wright has since paid tribute to her late, great co-starsaying, “I feel, for me, it’s a beautiful contribution to Chadwick’s legacy. I feel like it’s a love letter to him. I know every day that I went on set, I focused my energy on – on each scene to dedicate it to him. I wanted to dedicate excellence to this film so that he could be proud.”

Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverwill reflect real-life tragedy with the death of T’Challa.The official synopsis has revealed moreabout how both Boseman and T’Challa’s presence will permeate the Marvel movie. “In Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death,” the synopsis reads. “As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.”
TheBlack Panthersequel will finally introduce Marvel legend Namor the Submariner to the Marvel Cinematic Universe,with returning star Winston Duke describing the depiction of the character as far more than simply “another Aquaman.”
“In our version, it feels a lot more real than fiction,” Duke explained. “In the MCU fashion, we’ve grounded it in real cultural significance and cultural traditions. You see the Latinx contingent that is present visually. Ryan Coogler’s creation within the Marvel cinematic landscape is one of deep honor and connection to real stuff. So I think a lot of people are gonna see themselves represented.”
