Brigitte Nielsen to Return as Drago's Wife in Creed 2?

According to a new report,Brigitte Nielsenhas arrived in Philadelphia to reprise her role as Ludmilla Drago inCreed 2. Nielsen famously played Ivan Drago’s (Dolph Lundgren) wife inRocky IV, which may even make her the mother of Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu). Production onCreed 2started late last month and since then, we’ve seen Sylvester Stallone on set as well as Lundgren and Munteanu and everything seems to be running on schedule to getting the movie out in time for its November release date.

Philadelphia photographer Hugh E. Dillon reportedly saw Brigitte Nielsen land at the airport and claims that she is in town to work onCreed 2. It’s important to note that this is unconfirmed by the production, which either means that it’s coincidence or that Sylvester Stallone and the rest of the cast and crew are trying to keep Nielsen’s involvement in the production a secret. This new piece of information is the latest in additional ties toRocky IV, which has some fans excited and others fearful that theplot will be too similar.

Brigitte Nielson and Sylvester Stallone were briefly married in 1985 for a little over a year and a half. Over the summer of 2017, allegations thatStallone sexually assaulted a teenagerin 1986 came to light, which Nielson called false. She and her ex-husband hadn’t spoken in 30 years, but she took time out of her day to tell anybody that would listen that the allegations were completely false since they were inseparable newlyweds at the time of the allegations. So, a reconnection may have occurred over the summer between Brigitte Nielsen and Sylvester Stallone, paving the way for her to appear inCreed 2.

The first Creed movie was a surprise success and the studio along with Sylvester Stallone wanted toget moving on the sequel as soon as possible. However, that initial rush made it to where Ryan Coogler could not come back to direct. The director had his hands full with Marvel’sBlack Panther, which has just made him one of the most in demand professionals in the business. However, he is happy thatCreed 2is moving forward and has nothing but love and respect for the cast and the crew.

Creed 2hits theaters on November 21st, 2018 and it will see the return of Dolph Lundgren’s Ivan Drago character.Drago is training his son, Viktor, to go up against Michael B. Jordan’s Creed. And if the reports are true, Brigitte Nielsen will be back as Ludmilla Drago for the first time sinceRocky IV. Sylvester Stallone has a very active presence on social media, so it’s possible that the actor will post news of the return of Nielsen to the franchise.
