Movie, stated “Yes, I’d love that,” when asked if he wanted to come back for more. As for his co-star and the voice of Luigi, Charlie Day, he replied…
“It’s so fun to be part of this world and just people love these characters so much. I mean, I would love to keep doing it and Luigi has got a whole mansion he can wander around and be scared in. But I don’t know, I think I’d do as many as they wanted me to do.”

Based on the hugely popular video game franchise and featuring the beloved Nintendo characters,The Super Mario Bros. Moviefollows the iconic plumber as he travels to Toad town and embarks on an adventurethrough an underground labyrinth with his brother. Clearly, the pair would love to do more as Mario and Luigi, and with the firstSuper Mario Bros. Movieall set to lay down clues regarding a sequel, including both a mid-credits scene and a post-credits scene, we would all be wise to pencilThe Super Mario Bros. Movie 2into our calendars.
But, with the era of theGuardians of the Galaxyabout to end with the third movie, how does Pratt feel about leaping into another franchise so quickly?
“I wouldn’t call it trepidation, I think just a level of excitement. Especially knowing how broad the fanbase is for the Super Mario Bros. and Mario World, you just know the potential there. The only fear you might have is that you just don’t want to be responsible for screwing any of this stuff up. You know how passionate fans are, I know how passionate I am about this universe having played so many of these games growing up.”

Moviecurrently sits at a “rotten” 54% on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, with the consensus reading, “While it’s nowhere near as thrilling as turtle tipping your way to 128 lives, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a colorful – albeit thinly plotted – animated adventure that has about as many Nintendos as Nintendont’s.”
