Chris Pratt’s testosterone-fueled Prime Video hitThe Terminal Listis expanding its universe, but not in the way may people expected. While it seemed certain that the next time Pratt’s James Reece would hit screens would be in the second season of the show, which was announced over a year ago soon after the series became a monster hit, instead, it looks like Pratt’s return will first be in the prequel series that was also teased at the time.
The new series will go under the title ofThe Terminal List: Dark Wolf, and, as well as Pratt’s return, will see Taylor Kitsch reprising his role as Ben Edwards. Ina post on X(formerly Twitter), Prime Video shared a look at the poster for the series, and teased an imminent production start. Their post read:

From the Producers of The Terminal List and NYT Bestselling author Jack Carrusa – introducing The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, a prequel series featuring Ben Edward’s and James Reece. Production begins early this year.
The news of the prequel series was met with a mostly positive response from fans on the social media platform, although there were some who couldn’t quite understand why the prequel is being prioritized over the second season. Generally though, many lauded Prime Video for its “Men’s Department,” withThe Terminal ListandReacherhaving both provided some very well-received,old-school masculine actionthat clearly still has an audience.

The Terminal List Producer Says Critics Hate It For Not Having ‘Woke Stuff Shoved Into It’
Chris Pratt’s series The Terminal List could not have split critics and audiences more, and the show’s creator believes he knows why.
The Terminal List Received Negative Reaction from Critics
Despite being hugely popular with audiences, in both reviews and viewership,The Terminal Listwas slammed by many critics as being a clichéd, over the top, generically male-dominated show – which are the same reasons audiences loved the series. Clearly, combined withthe success of shows like Reacher, and the lack of interest seen in shows that push to avoid old stereotypes of the genre, there is a huge audience out there for shows likeThe Terminal List.

It did not take long forThe Terminal Listto be given the good news about the continuation of the series, with the announcement coming from Pratt soon after the first season aired. At the time, he said:

“I’m excited to announce that the second season of The Terminal List is on its way, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to reprise my role as James Reece. This season promises to be even more intense and action-packed than the first, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it. And for those who are fans of Taylor Kitsch’s Ben Edwards, I’m happy to say that we’re also working on a spinoff series that will delve deeper into his story and follow his journey from a Navy SEAL to a CIA operative. And to make it even more exciting, I will also be appearing in this prequel series! I promise you it will be just as thrilling and engaging as The Terminal List. Stay tuned for more updates and we can’t wait for you all to join us on this journey.”
