Return to the crane-kicking world ofThe Karate Kidthis September. Netflix’s enormously popular sequel spin-offCobra Kaiis coming off its best season since the streaming series first premiered on YouTube back in 2018. And fans can own a piece of the critically acclaimed Miyagiverse next month. Season five ofCobra Kaiis coming to DVD on Tuesday, September 12. The physical set will include all 10 episodes, a blooper reel, and, of course, never-before-seen extended and deleted scenes. Fans canpre-orderCobra Kainow. Target is offering the DVD package for only $19.99 plus tax, while it’ll cost customers $30.99 through Wal-Mart.
The end of theCobra Kaijourney was announced back in January, and the sixth season will mark the end ofThe Karate Kid-based streaming series. In a statement released by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, the three creators and showrunners addressed the conclusion ofCobra Kaifollowing season six.

Heald, Hurwitz and Schlossberg said in a statement, courtesy ofThe Hollywood Reporter:
“Our day one goal with Cobra Kai has always been to end it on our terms, leaving the Valley in the time and place we’ve always imagined. So, it is with immense pride and thankfulness that we are able to announce that achievement. The upcoming season six will mark the conclusion of Cobra Kai.”

The Cobra Kai Season 5 DVD Arrives September 12
The grown-upKarate KidDaniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), along with his friends and students, finally defeated Terry Silver’s (Thomas Ian Griffith) reign of terror onCobra Kaiat the conclusion of season five. And while the show will hang up its gis after season six, the series' creators couldn’t be more proud of the work done to expandThe Karate Kidmythology on streaming.
Heald, Hurwitz and Schlossberg said in the same statement:
“Reacquainting the world with the Karate Kid universe has been our humble honor. Making Cobra Kai has allowed us to join the same hallowed dojo once inhabited by the great Robert Mark Kamen, John Avildsen, Jerry Weintraub, and all the amazing original cast members. It has also enabled us to play sensei, expanding the original storylines and birthing a new generation of underdogs. We’ve never once taken this opportunity for granted.”
As Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) so eloquently says, the final season ofCobra Kaicould be the most “badass” yet. Kreese (Martin Kove) escaped after faking his death in the final scene of episode 10, and Silver has been arrested.The Karate Kid Part III’sfreakishly powerful Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan) officially joined the cast, and Chozen’s (Yuji Okumoto) love for Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) was finally revealed to both Johnny and Daniel.
The cast and crew had just assembled for a table read before the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike began. And now, with the ongoing Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) protest,fans ofCobra Kaiwill have to wait indefinitelyto see the final episodes of the series.
