Late actorPaul Walkermight be gone, but his memory lives on, and he’s being honored in a special way by brotherCody Walkerand his wife, Felicia. Speaking withPeople, the married couple have revealed that their newborn son, born on April 30, is named Paul Barrett Walker, though they also call him “Bear.” The two hadn’t been decided on a name until 24 hours after Paul was born, as they didn’t know the baby’s gender beforehand. Cody Walker says the name was perfect as the timing felt appropriate, coming nearly a decade after losing his brother, and he also explained why it was important to keep the name going in the family.

“This November will mark 10 years since we lost my brother, Paul, and I just felt now was the appropriate time,” Walker said. “My brother, Caleb, and I are both done having children. My brother, Paul, was Paul William Walker IV and that name goes back four generations. Within the family, he went by ‘little Paul’ or ‘Paul 4,’ even though he quickly outgrew our father in height. It was important to me to have that name carry on.”

Paul Walker’s Brothers Want His Fast and Furious Character to Return

Walker has been collaborating with Tyrese Gibson and Chris Lee forFuelFest, an automotive and motorsports festival that celebrates car culture. A portion of the proceeds from the event go to the nonprofit orgReach Out WorldWide, which was founded by Paul Walker in 2010. Cody describes the nonprofit as a “part of Paul that he left behind,” and continuing to support Reach Out WorldWide is another great way of keeping his brother’s memory alive.

“It’s important to so many to see that part of his legacy live on,” Cody explains. “Since Paul’s passing, ROWW has continued to assist communities in natural disaster zones in 13 countries, with over 79 deployments and over 63,000 volunteer hours logged. That’s over $10 million in contributions to those in need through the generosity of incredible donors and brands like Lowe’s and FuelFest, who help keep its mission going.”

Teasing what fans could expect at the festival, Cody added, “You never know who you might see at one of our shows. We have had several surprise special guests from theFast and Furiousworld attend our shows.”
