Over the weekend,Marveland Netflix brought their hit seriesDaredevilto New York Comic Con, where they debuted the firstSeason 2 trailerfor fans who attended their panel. A leaked version soon spread across the internet, but today, Twitter user I’m Not Autistic revealed what appears to be an official, but much shorter version of the footage shown at NYCC. While this video is more than a minute shorter than the leaked teaser, this high-quality version offers a much better glimpse at Elektra Nachios (Elodie Yung) and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal).
Unfortunately, we only get a brief shot ofElektraputting on her mask, andThe Punisheris only shown from the back. However, there is also a brief shot of what appears to be an X-ray of a skull, which resembles The Punisher’s logo. We also get brief glimpses of Matt Murdock/Daredevil(Charlie Cox), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) and Father Lantom (Peter McRobbie). If you watched the leaked trailer that debuted over the weekend, this new version is all of the footage that debuted after what appeared to be a sizzle reel ofSeason 1.
Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super HeroDaredevilin modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. It was recently confirmed thatSeason 2will also feature the return of Stick, played byScott Glenn. Responsible for training young Matt and then abandoning him, Stick returns with a new mission that Matt wants no part of. Aside from Elektra and Punisher, no other new characters have been confirmed yet.
