Disney doesn’t usually give away information about their upcoming Marvel projects before they are ready, but it looks like a recent slip-up has revealed the expected release date forShe-Hulk. According to a post, that has since been deleted, on theDisney+ UK website, the new series starring Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner, will make its debut on the platform on August 17, which means it will arrive just a month after the conclusion ofMs. Marveland the arrival ofThor: Love and Thunderin cinemas.
She-Hulkwill be another break from the norm as it brings a legal comedy to the MCU, and could also bring a number of surprise appearances with it. The series will focus on Jennifer Walters, who takes on some of her cousin Bruce Banner’s superpowers following an emergency blood transfusion after an accident. In the show, Walters specializes in legal cases involving superheroes, and while we already know that Mark Ruffalo will be reprising his role as Bruce Banner, he will be joined by Tim Roth as the Abomination. Beyond that though, there are a lot of possible crossovers and cameos that could appear in the show.

The series will run for ten half-hour episodes, and while there will likely be some overarching storyline that will become apparent as the series progresses, there will probably be a few chances for some cameo appearances from other superheroes considering Walters’ specific case type. Since the first details of the series were announced there have been rumors that the show could seethe return of Howard The Duck, Daredevil and any number of other characters that have appeared with She-Hulk in her comic book adventures. However, we know by now to expect too much and be grateful for what we get…haven’t we?

She-Hulk Could Be The Last Marvel Series Coming To Disney+ This Year
Marvel Studios and Disney may have a set list of movie release dates for their MCU theatrical offerings, but they have recently been much more cagey when it comes to the release of theirDisney+TV shows. While there have been many changes and delays to contend with recently thanks to the Covid pandemic and the strain it has put on both filming and post-production work on both movies and TV series. It was believed at one point thatShe-Hulkwould be releasing in the early part of 2022, withMs Marveland the upcomingSecret Invasionseries coming later, but, probably thanks to the amount of post-production effects to be applied,She-Hulkappeared to be pushed back to allow that work to be completed without rushing the final touches.
There are still rumors that aWerewolf By Night Halloween Specialwill be coming to Disney+ this year in October, andGuardians of the Galaxy Holiday Specialwill drop sometime in December, but they could be the only other Disney shows to drop this year. While there are animated shows likeWhat If…?season 2 andI Am Grootthat may possibly be slotted in somewhere, it doesn’t seem that we will see any of the other live-action shows arriving until 2023 unless Marvel really press on withSecret Invasion.
Either way, with Covid restrictions and delays seemingly in the past, after 2022’s disjointed, changing release schedule, we can certainly expect 2023 to return to a more consistent slate release, along with an announcement about what we can expect to see in the coming years.
