After a successful debut at SXSW earlier this month, AMC brought its new seriesPreacherto WonderCon, which is happening in Los Angeles as we speak. During a panel for the show, the network released the first-ever image of actorIan Collettias the very unforgettable character Eugene. Known in the comics upon which this is based as Arseface, we’ll get to see the kid in action whenPreacherdebuts Sunday, May 22 at 10pm.
Back in November, fans got their first look at AMC’s highly-anticipatedPreacherwith the first trailer, which was followed by three new photos from earlier this month that featured the main characters Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip O’Hare (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun).

Preacheris based on the popular, cult comic book franchise of the same name, created by Garth Ennis andSteve Dillon.Preacheris a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
The supporting cast includesJamie Anne Allmanas Betsy Schenk, Thomas Barbusca as Chris Schenk,W. Earl Brownas Hugo Root,Ian Collettias Arseface,Lucy Griffithsas Emily,Lucas Neffas J.J. Quinncannon,Elizabeth Perkinsas Vyla Quinncannon andDerek Wilsonas Donnie Schenk. Most recently,Jackie Earle Haleysigned on to play Odin Quinncannon. AMC hasn’t announced an exact premiere date yet, but perhaps that will happen during the SXSW screening next week.

The Sony Pictures Television and AMC Studios co-production was developed for television bySeth Rogen&Evan Goldberg(This Is the End,Superbad,Neighbors) and showrunner Sam Catlin (Breaking Bad).
