After bad mouthing the movie, and saying she had no interest in being a part of it, the iconicPamela Andersonhas come home! Yes, the actress-turned-sex goddess has decided that it is in her best interest to join the already huge cast ofBaywatch, an R-rated action comedy based on her hugely popular syndicated TV show. StarDwayne Johnsonhad this to say about landing such a big fish on hisInstagram.
“She introduced the world to ‘CJ Parker’ and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation - for the most successful TV show of all time. A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast. We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!”
For awhile, it didn’t look like eitherDavid HasselhofforPamela Andersonwere going to return for this big screen adaptation of their worldwide phenomenon.David Hasselhoffwas the first to give in, joining the movie back in March. ButPlayboy Playmate Pamheld out for as long as she could. And that’s because she thought it would suck. Talking with TMZ last year, she scoffed at the idea of a remake. She didn’t think it was necessary, calling the original ‘the best time’ of her life. She went onto say that the 90s were a ‘simpler, sweeter time’, and this show just doesn’t work in this day and age.
“No one appreciates the remakes.”
Something must have changed her mind, as we see her in this first look photo looking not a day older than when she last left the role of C.J. Parker. There is no mention of who she’ll play, but she won’t be reprising her character. That role now belongs toKelly Rohrbach. Though, it’s possible thatPamcould be playing Parker’s mom. We known the original C.J. is Casey Jean. But we have no confirmation that’s what the initials stand for in theBaywatchmovie.
