TheHaloTV series has been in development since 2013 and has faced several delays and changes in direction, which initially stalled the project. Now, however, the series is finally here and available tostream on Paramount+, which is a rebranding of CBS All Access.Halois based on the popular video game series of the same name, and will have the look and feel of the source material, but will offer something new for fans of the franchise.
Excitement rose when Paramount+ released the firstfull trailer forHalo. Ahead of its premiere, the series, in fact, wasrenewed for a second season. With new episodes released weekly, here’s a closer look at the cast ofHaloand other places you’ve seen the actors.

Pablo Schreiber
Pablo Schreiber plays the leading role in theHaloseries, Master Chief; however, details as to how similar his version will be to the video game version are still unknown. Schreiber already boasts a strong resume having appeared as Nick Sobotka inThe Wireand as William Lewis inLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit. He also portrayed Mad Sweeney in the TV adaptation ofAmerican Gods. Even further, Schreiber has also appeared inOrange Is the New Blackin a guest role as George Mendez (for which he earned an Emmy nomination). He performed well in all of these roles, so it will be exciting to see what he brings to Master Chief.
Natascha McElhone
Natascha McElhone is an English actress who already has had several large roles in both film and TV. She began to achieve mainstream success when she starred in the 1996 filmSurviving Picassowhere she appeared as Picasso’s love interest, Françoise Gilot. She may also be recognized for her role inThe Truman Show, where she played Lauren Garland/Sylvia. McElhone also starred in successful films such asSolarisin 2002 opposite George Clooney, and several successful TV Shows likeCalifornicationas Karen andDesignated Survivoras First Lady Alex Kirkman. Her experience makes us excited to see what she will bring to her role as Dr. Catherine Halsey.
Charlie Murphy
Charlie Murphy plays Makee and viewers will most likely recognize her from her role as Jessie Eden in the massively popularPeaky Blinders. She may also be recognizable from her background as Siobhan onLove/Hate. Ahead of the premiere, Murphyspoke about her excitementfor audiences to see her in theHaloseries.
Shabana Azmi
Shabana Azmi is one of India’s most acclaimed and celebrated actresses. She has a filmography which spans decades and has won five National Film Awards for Best Actress, as well as five Filmfare awards. Her first National Film Award came in 1975 for her role inAnkurand her most recent was in 1999 for her role inGodmother. She will play Admiral Margaret Paragonsky and recently confessed she didn’tresearch too muchabout the franchise before joining.

Bokeem Woodbine
Bokeen Woddine is an American actor who first gained widespread recognition when he portrayed Joshua, Jason’s brother inJason’s Lyric. He was also a popular television actor, appearing in series such asBattery Park,Saving GraceandSouthland. He also recently appeared in the megahit filmSpider-Man: Homecomingwhere he played Herman Schultz/Shocker. He is set to star as Soren-066 in theHaloseries, and promises to bring the same star power to this role.
Olive Gray
Olive Gray is an actor from England, and they are known for their roles in British TV including:The Story of Tracy Beaker,Fleabag,EastEndersandHalf Moon Investigations. They are set to play CDR: Miranda Keyes and we are excited to see what they will bring to the role as season 1 progresses.
Danny Sapani
Danny Sapani is an actor who audiences will likely recognise from his work in popular British series such asMisfitsandDoctor Who. He also went on to star in hugely successful films such asStar Wars: The Last Jediand also played M’Kathu inBlack Panther. He plays Captain Jacob Keyes in theHaloseries.
