Prominent actorKen Leung(Night Shift,Star Wars: The Force Awakens,Lost) has landed the key role of Karnak in the Marvel’sInhumanstelevision series for ABC. Karnak isBlack Bolt’s cousin and closest advisor. His gift is an ability to see the fault in all things, people, plans, structures, everything. He’s Black Bolt’s most ardent supporter and strategist and is often seen as the royal family’s planner and philosopher.
Marvel’sInhumansexplores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of theInhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. It was previously announced that a version of the first two episodes of the new ABC series, which will be shot entirely with IMAX cameras, will premiere exclusively in IMAX theatres for a two-week window in September 2017, prior to the 8-episode network run. This series was first announced just a few months ago, when IMAX Corp., Marvel Television, a unit of Marvel Entertainment, and Disney ABC Television Group announced an innovative agreement to exclusively premiere the new ABC seriesMarvel’s Inhumansin IMAX commercial theatres. This marks the first time a live-action television series has debuted in this manner. ABC, IMAX and Marvel Television also intend to work together to create a joint marketing and promotion plan for the series across their proprietary media platforms, which would be the first such cross-platform marketing launch of a television series. This deal also marks IMAX’s first time as a financing participant in a TV pilot and series.
