Netflix has had a ton of success with their Marvel shows, which have focused on some of New York’s most notorious heroes not namedSpider-Man.Daredevil,Jessica JonesandLuke Cagehave all landed with fans and critics so far and they will unite later this year inThe Defenders. Before that happens, they need the last piece of the puzzle, which will beDanny Rand, akaIron Fist. His series is set to hit the streaming service in a couple of months and now some new photos from the first season have made their way online.
Netflixand Marvel dropped the new images, which included a really epic new banner image featuringGame of ThronesstarFinn JonesasIron Fist. We also get to seeRosario Dawsonback as Night Nurse, who first showed up inDaredeviland also had a part inLuke Cage.Carrie-Anne Mossis also featured in one of these new photos as Jeri Hogarth, who she played inJessica Jones. There are also a couple of nice action shots, one of which featuresIron Fistdemonstrating his very proficient fighting skills. Here is the official synopsis forIron Fist.

It was recently revealed thatJohn Dahlis directing the first two episodes ofIron Fist, which makes sense, given that he also directed an episode ofJessica Jones. Other directors working on the series includeTom Shankland,Uta Briesewitz,Farren Blackburn,Kevin Tancharoen,Deborah ChowandStephen Surjikand hip-hop legendRZA.Iron Fisthas yet to show up in any of the other Netflix Marvel shows, so fans are very eager to see how Danny Rand fits in with the other heroes from that corner of the Marvel Universe.
The character ofIron Fistfirst debuted in 1974 and is an expert practitioner ofmartial arts. He gains his superhuman strength by being able to wield a mystical force known asIron Fist. He had his own solo series in the comics, but he is very well known for teaming up withLuke Cagein a title calledHeroes For Hire, which centered on the two doing good deeds in New York for a profit. There is some hope that Netflix will go that route withLuke Cageseason orIron Fistseason 2, but we need to get throughIron Fistseason 1 andThe Defendersfirst.
Iron Fistis set to land on the streaming service onMarch 17, 2017, withThe Defendersset to follow later this year.Finn Jonesis playing the title character in the series and he will be joined byCarrie-Anne Moss, who is reprising her role fromJessica Jonesas Jeri Hogarth. The rest of the cast is rounded out byJessica Henwickas Colleen Wing,David Wenhamas Harold Meachum,Jessica Stroupas Joy Meachum andTom Pelphreyas Ward Meachum.
