We know thatStar Wars 8will begin directly whereStar Wars: The Force Awakensleft off, with Rey (Daisy Ridley) meeting Luke Skywalker on the remote planet of Ahch-To, where he has been hiding in exile at an ancient Jedi temple. There have been rumors that Rey begins her Jedi training under Luke Skywalker’s tutelage inStar Wars 8, with other reports claiming that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) has captured both Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), in an effort to lure Rey out of hiding for another lightsaber duel.

All we know for sure is thatRian Johnsonis directing from his own script, withDomhnall Gleeson(General Hux),Gwendoline Christie(Captain Phasma),Carrie Fisher(Leia Organa) andLupita Nyong’o(NEv2olH0FIHGyD||Maz Kanata) also reprising their roles fromStar Wars: The Force Awakens.
