Warner Bros.' highly-anticipatedJustice Leaguenot only brings together all of the iconic heroes fromBatman v Superman, but it also introduces new characters as well likeJ.K. Simmons' Commissioner Gordon. While filming is still well under way, the actor revealed that he has wrapped filming, while giving some high praise to his directorZack Snyder. Here’s what the actor had to say, teasing that some of the DC heroes will be shooting for the rest of this year.

“My part is done. They are filming that for basically most of 2016, so some of thesuperheroesare still at work in jolly old London, but I’m back home with my family.”

J.K. Simmonsspoke withEntertainment Tonightto promote his role inThe Meddler, which debuted on Blu-ray, DVD and digital today, going onto shed more light on his role. The actor revealed in April that he doesn’t have a huge role asCommissioner Gordon, but he hopes to appear in future DC movies in bigger roles. Here’s what he had to say in this new interview, reiterating his previous statements, revealing he is mostly seen alongsideBen Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman, while comparingZack Snyderto his director onThe Meddler,Lorene Scafaria.

“Yeah, mostly withBen. In this first installment of theJustice League,Commissioner Gordonis not a particularly sizable part. We just kind of introduce him and see a little bit of his interactions with Batman, and with most of the Justice League. That was a really fun set.Zack Snyderruns sort of a big, happy family and it’s obviously, in many ways, a very different work environment when you’re working on a big, giant movie like that than a relatively small movie like The Meddler. But at the end of the day, the director is the one who sets the tone. And one of the things that Zack and Lorene have in common is they’re just nice, smart, competent, fun people that you don’t mind spending a 12-hour day with.”
