Over the past couple of years, it has become somewhat of a sport, tradition and favorite past time for celebrities to arrive at any given Comic-Con in disguise, fooling fans and even some longtime friends. This past weekend was no different, as two very high profile members of the superhero movie community went incognito to enjoy NYCC 2015. One was fromDC Comics, the other was from Marvel. Though, the Joker may have gotten the upper hand this time out.
First to admit he went to New York Comic Con to hide among the masses wasJared Leto, who even fooled some of the real-lifeJokerslaughing their way through the Javits center. On hispersonal Instagram, the method actor showed off his crazy looking Baboon mask, which features his insane eyeballs peering through the primate’s nostrils. It’s a scary getup, one that the Joker himself might don if he wasn’t such an egomaniac.
At one point,Jared Letoeven went so far as to pose with one of the many Jokers in attendance at NYCC. The poor guy didn’t have a clue!Jared Letonow successfully joins the ranks of other actors such asBryan Cranston,Daniel Radcliffe,Patton OswaltandAndrew Garfieldwho have all tricked fans into thinking they were just another, ordinary sweaty nerd. ButJared Letowasn’t the only high profile genre actor traipsing across the Javits center unnoticed.
Avengers: Age of UltronstarMark Ruffalo, has also shared photos of his clever NYCC 2015 disguise, which helped him go unnoticed throughout the weekend. He traded in the unmistakable green skin of the Hulk for the face of an old man smoking a cigar as he enjoyed the sights and sounds of the con experience. Sadly, we don’t get to see a picture of him posing with someone as the Green Goliath.
Just this morning, it was rumored thatMark Ruffalowill next appear as Bruce Banner (aka The Hulk) inThor: Ragnarok. Of course, that has yet to be confirmed by Marvel or Disney.Jared Letomakes his big screen debut asThe JokerinSuicide Squad, which is set to premiere in late summer. While we got a first look at him in action during SDCC this past July,DC and Warner Bros.didn’t bring any new footage, photos or posters to NYCC. Instead, we get to see The Joker in a Baboon mask…Which, if you ask me, is probably cooler than whatever the studio could have cooked up. Take a look.
