Earlier this week, we reported thatWonder WomanproducerGeoff Johnshad arrived in the U.K., along with set photographerClay Enos, sparking speculation that production has already begun on Warner Bros.' highly-anticipated superhero adaptation.Gal Gadotalso shared a photo from one of her workout sessions, which also hinted that principal photography has either started, or will commence very soon.Colliderrecently spoke with producerCharles Roven, who confirmed that production will start onWonder Womanat the end of this month in both the U.K. and Italy, withJustice Leagueset to start filming in the U.K. early next year.

“We’re actually gonna start shooting [Wonder Woman] towards the end of [November]… We are shooting in the U.K. and in Italy. We’re making most of Wonder Woman [in the U.K.] and we’re also making most ofJustice Leaguethere, JL One… We’re definitely gonna be shooting Part One in the first or second quarter of next year.”

WhileCharles Rovendidn’t confirm exactly where in the U.K. and Italy thatWonder Womanwill be shooting, the producer’s remarks essentially confirm a report from September that claimed part of the production will take place inItaly. That report revealed the shoot will take place at Basilicata, Italy, which is where big-budget movies such asBen-HurandMel Gibson’s 2004 Biblical epicThe Passion of the Christhave shot. It isn’t known what scenes will be shot in Italy, but there have been rumors about that portion of the shoot as well.

An unconfirmed rumor that surfaced last month claimedWonder Womanwill feature three different settings, Diana’s homeland ofThemyscira, and in America during World War I and in present day. Some have speculated that the Italy shoot could be used to film scenes set in Themyscira, but we don’t know for sure.Gal Gadotis set to star as the title character, withChris Pineportraying her love interest, Steve Trevor. We reported last week thatNicole Kidmanis in talks for an unspecified role, withSean BeanandEva Greenreportedly circling the villainous roles of Ares and Circe.
