7 Ways Agatha All Along Sets up the Future of the MCU

As with any Marvel TV series, Agatha All Along lays the groundwork for several potential storylines in the future of the MCU.

Agatha All Alongfans had hopes that Hahn’s anti-hero would find her way intoAvengers: Doomsday, but it’s not to be. There is probably a chance she could appear inSecret Wars, but it’s safe to say Hahn would have mentioned it during the interview.

Will ‘Agatha All Along’ Receive a Second Season?

Agatha All Alongwas a nine-episode limited series on Disney+ and was a spinoff ofWandaVision. The show followed Agatha as she is freed with the help of a mysterious teenage boy who wants to face the trials of the Witches' Road. While Agatha does maintain her villain status, she does help the teen, who is Billy Maximoff, Wanda’s son.

Despite theshocking two-part finale, the question remains, willAgatha All Alongget a second season? Because it was a limited series, Marvel Television had no plans for anything beyond a single season. Since the show’s conclusion last October, there has beenspeculation and rumorsthat the show could get a second season. But as soon as fans' hopes were raised, another news story would indicate that asecond season wasn’t happening.

However, in an interview with Brad Winderbaum, the head of streaming, television, and animation at Marvel gaveAgatha All Alongfans another glimmer of hope:

“I think it’s ‘linear series’ potential. A show like ‘Agatha,’ to me, is concept-based. Yes, a second season, for sure, is something that we would want to do, but let’s not rush it. Let’s get the right idea and then make it.”

This is similar to what’s happening withThe Penguinfollowing the success of its limited series on HBO.According to the producers, there is an interest and if an idea can be developed, a second season could happen. But like what Winderbaum said, the network isn’t in a hurry to produce Season 2. And it sounds likeColin Farrell isn’t in a rush, either.

If Agatha doesn’t receive a second season nor does she appear inAvengers: Doomsday, where could the character next show up? The possibilities includeVision Quest,Doctor Strange 3,orYoung Avengers. Any one of those projects would work well and could see Agatha and others end up inAvengers: Secret Wars. Regardless, fans would love to see more of Agatha in the MCU.
