Kingsman: The Secret ServicestarTaron Egertonhas offered an update on the long-awaited third outing in the franchise,Kingsman 3. Speaking withCollider, Egerton revealed that he has his own idea for where the threequel should go, and declared that he and director Matthew Vaughn have “every intention of making” the final part of theirKingsmantrilogy.
“Yeah, I mean, I have an idea for Kingsman. I have my own idea that I would like to pitch to Matthew, and I think that will be happening soon but he has the wheels in motion on a big idea of his own. So who knows, you know? Who knows where it will land? But he has every intention of making it, and I have every intention of playing Eggsy one more time. That was always what I thought I was committed to doing. It’s the role that made my name, so I suppose, in a way, I just want it to be absolutely right if we do it again, and I want the story to do justice to the part that really changed my life.”
Egerton continued, stating that, if nothing else,he wants only to see Eggsy and Harry reunited one last time.
“I want it to be a fitting ending. And I would, obviously, really hope that Colin [Firth] would come back for at least a part of it, and who knows? We’ll have to see, but we are planning to talk about it, actually, the next time we see one another, so who knows? Watch this space. But, you know, he’s certainly not backing off the idea.”
Beginning in 2014, the firstKingsmanintroduced audiences to Taron Egerton as Gary “Eggsy” Unwin, an intelligent, capable, ne’er-do-well who is taken under the wing of Colin Firth’s Harry Hart and recruited into The Kingsman, a secret spy organization that is attempting to thwart a megalomaniac and eco-terrorist from wiping out most of humanity. A sequel,Kingsman: The Golden Circle, followed in 2017, with a prequel titledThe King’s Man, released in 2021.
While both the sequel and prequelare seen as being much lesser than the first installment, fans are still eager to see the trilogy wrapped up. But will it ever happen?

Director Matthew Vaugh has been working on bringing a thirdKingsmanadventure to the big screen since as far back as 2017. As well as stating that the story is mapped out, and picking action icon andJumanji: Welcome to the Junglestar Dwayne Johnson as his preferred villain, the filmmaker has also since revealed that the current title forKingsman 3isKingsman: The Blue Blood.
Vaughn has also teased a core detail ofKingsman: The Blue Blood, revealing that itwill center on the relationship between Eggsy and Harry, and bring their saga to an end. “Eggsy and Harry [will be in it], obviously,” he said. “But it’s the gang coming back together and it’s one of those moments that…when we wrote the screenplay, it was very much about, okay, I saw how people loved the relationship of Eggsy and Harry. So we just came up with this thing, what could be the ultimate reason for them to either fall in love or to hate each other forever? So that’s what this movie is all about is will they or won’t they, let’s just say.”
