At this time, the series has not been renewed with no indication that a second season will happen, though the first season does leave the door open for a continuation. We also know Vellani will be back as Ms. Marvel on the big screen forThe Marvels, but whether she’ll be back on Disney+ for more ofMs. Marvelremains to be seen.The subject of a renewal was brought up to Vellani in a chat withDeadlineat theD23 Expo. She was asked about the prospects ofMs. Marvelseason 2 happening, and for her part, Vellani still has no idea. While she doesn’t know whether or not there will ever be more episodes of the show, Vellani adds that she hopes the series does get renewed, suggesting that perhaps those who want a renewal should get a petition going. As Vellani puts it:“They don’t tell me anything. So, you’re not going to hear anything [from me]. Hopefully. Yeah, we’ve got to start a petition or something.”

Ms. Marvel Still Has More to Do in the MCU

We may or may not see more of Kamala Khan inMs. Marvel, but there’s still a “crazy journey” ahead for the superhero. Iman Vellani also spoke with Deadline about the character’s return inThe Marvelswhich was showcased at D23. She teased how the film also includes new scenes with the Khan family before teasing her team-up with Brie Larsen.

“you may see more of the Khan family. I’m really excited for that. More of the stuff we love fromCaptain Marvel, you know, getting the Flerkens back. And then Kree. Just Brie in general. I think she does such a wonderful job, and giving Carol Danvers a lot more emotional complexities in this movie, and seeing how she interacts with Kamala, who’s much younger, and then Monica [Rambeau, played by Teyonah Parris]. So, it’s a pretty crazy journey for her.”

Nia DaCosta directsThe Marvelsusing a screenplay by Megan McDonnell. Along with Vellani, Larson, and Parris, the film also features Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury.Ms. Marvelstars Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur will also be featured as Kamala Khan’s family while Zawe Ashton has been cast to play a villain.
