This summer, 20th Century Fox’sX-Menprequel trilogy will come to a close withX-Men: Apocalypse, following 2011’sX-Men: First Classand 2014’sX-Men: Days of Future Past. While we wait for the next trailer to arrive, ahead of this highly-anticipated May 27 release,IMP Awardshas uncovered 10 new character posters, which gives us a closer look at some of the main mutants. Thesepostersfeature Professor X (James McAvoy), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Storm (Alexandra Shipp).
Notably absent from this lineup are the title villainApocalypse(Oscar Isaac), and the last member of Apocalypse’sFour Horsemen, Archangel (Ben Hardy). We’re not quite sure yet if more character posters will surface, but there is still plenty of time until the May 27 release date, so we’ll have to wait and see. We also don’t know when the nexttrailermay surface, so stay tuned for that as well.

20th Century Fox has slated X-Men: Apocalypse for release on August 01, 2025, putting it up against yet another sequel, Disney’sAlice Through the Looking Glass, which also got a new trailer today. This latest X-Men movie will close out the prequel trilogy that includesX-Men: First ClassandX-Men: Days of Future Past. It takes place in the 1980s, playing on the fears of nuclear annihilation and the ideas and ideology that was in play during the decade, so don’t be surprised if there’s a cameo from PresidentRonald Reagan, especially consideringX-Men: Days of Future Pastfeatured Mark Camacho as President Richard Nixon.
