The world was treated to some very exciting new Rebel intel today - courtesyGareth Edwardsand The Star Wars Show.Edwards, director ofRogue One: A Star Wars Story, made a special appearance on today’s The Star Wars Show, revealing the official theatrical poster for the film and announcing that a brand new trailer is coming tomorrow. And like a true Rebel spy, he made a quick exit to continue working on the film in the lead up to its December 16 release. The trailer will first air on tomorrow’s episode ofGood Morning Americabefore it arrives online.
The poster, which debuted onStarWars.comshortly after it was unveiled on The Star Wars Show, features a massive loomingDeath Starand the haunting visage of Darth Vader within. They’re matched only byFelicity Jones' Jyn Erso and her band of Rebels below, while TIE strikers, TIE fighters, U-wings, and X-wings take flight. The bottom of the poster finds the striking image of stormtroopers in the waters of Scarif, the principal construction facility for the vast Imperial war machine, with AT-ACT walkers following close behind.

It’s possible that tomorrow’s trailer may be the final trailer for thisStar Wars spin-off, which will be the first of three standalone movies that have been confirmed thus far. The third spin-off is believed to center on Boba Fett, which is expected to hit theaters in 2020.
