The annual WonderCon convention has kicked off in Los Angeles, and Paramount made a big splash on the first day, debuting an extended TV spot for the upcoming sequelTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. The studio also unveiled two new character posters featuringBebop and Rocksteady(Gary Anthony WilliamsandStephen Farrelly), along with a limited edition poster by Gallery1988 artistDave Quiggle. Among the new characters coming aboard for this sequel includeLaura Linneyas an undercover cop,Tyler PerryasBaxter StockmanandStephen Amellas Casey Jones, along with Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly). All of these new characters make an apperance in this latest footage, along with our favorite heroes in a half-shell, seen fighting to stop an alien threat to the Big Apple. This sequel also features Krang, a villain who fans have been waiting to see on the big screen for quite some time.
Krang is a villain created for the original animatedTeenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesTV series. Here, we get to see his Android Body in action as Kraang and Krang take on the four sewer dwelling brothers. Although, very little is known about how he fits into the story. An official synopsis for the sequel has yet to be released, although many fans were pleased that fan-favorite characters Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady are finally making their first-ever big screen appearance.

The screenwriters also wrote last year’sTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which took in $485 million worldwide from a $125 million budget.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is slated for release on June 3, putting it up against Universal Pictures’Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie. It’s possible that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 could put up even bigger numbers than its predecessor this coming summer, but we’ll have to wait and see.
