NobodyandViolent Nightproducing team David Leitch and Kelly McCormick have offered an update on the development of the two action movie hits, withNobody 2“potentially” happening this year followed byViolent Night 2in 2025. Speaking withColliderat SXSW 2024, McCormick revealed that a lot of progress is now being made behind the scenes on both sequels, saying that both movies will be going into development soon…so long as they can “find time in everybody’s busy schedules.”
“We are planning on returns to those universes. Hopefully, honestly, even potentially end of this year for Nobody 2 and, beginning of next year for Violent Night 2, if we can find time in everybody’s busy schedules. But the development’s going super well and everybody’s really, really excited about moving those worlds forward.”

David Leitch, who is best known fordirecting the likes ofDeadpool 2, Bullet Train, and this year’sThe Fall Guy, added that Nobody lead Bob Odenkirk and Violent Night Santa himself David Harbour are both “fired up” to get started on their respective sequels.
A docile family man slowly reveals his true character after his house gets burgled by two petty thieves, which, coincidentally, leads him into a bloody war with a Russian crime boss. Starring Bob Odenkirk and Christopher Lloyd.

McCormick also revealed that scripts for the two action follow-ups are now being written.
“[Scrips are] being written. We’re well into a couple of drafts and things are going super well, but there’s still a little work to do."

Violent Night, meanwhile, findsStranger Thingsstar David Harbour taking the lead as Santa who, after a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, takes matters into his own hands and shows why this Nick is no saint.

Violent Nightdirector Tommy Wirkola has teased what we might see in the sequel, including the elves and Mrs. Claus.
“But, of course the writers have talked about it, and I have thrown some ideas out there. We don’t see the North Pole, we don’t see Mrs. Claus and we don’t see the elves. There were also a few ideas that we loved in the script, but we had to cut them because we couldn’t afford to shoot them. It’s such a cliché to say, but we all had a blast doing this film. So I really hope we get to explore it more.”
