The Hulu original also keeps it fresh by featuring a band of celebrity guest stars, and thelatest to be announced for season threeis Jesse Williams, who’s known for his hefty role inGrey’s Anatomy.Only Murders in the Buildinghas had a great two seasons so far, with several hilarious scenes and jaw-dropping plot twists that audiences can’t forget. Here’s a list of the best moments from the show, ranked.
8The Blackout
Only Murders in the Buildingis set in New York City, and one of the most authentic things to happen in this show based on the setting, is the blackout that takes place in season two. Blackouts are known to happen in the big city, especially when the heat rises, so when it happens on the show, it makes it that much more real. The building that they live in (which is based on a real building), The Arconia, is iconic and right in the heart of the city, but useless when it comes to how many floors it has and no elevator to help people out.
7The Fan Club
After releasing their podcast with the same name as the series, the three unlikely friends gain a group of fans that become obsessed with the podcast, as well as the members. One of the best moments is when Oliver and Mabel first meet them; Oliver is delighted to know they had dedicated listeners, while Mable found it odd. When one of the fans asks why they aren’t recording at that second, Oliver changes his tune and suddenly yells, “We don’t work for you! You vultures!”

6The Boy From 6B
Something that’s different about this show, is how it centers entire episodes oncharacters that aren’t necessarily in the spotlight. It’s a bit mundane and some might even say not needed, but it provides more context to the entire show as a whole, and “The Boy From 6B” is a perfect example of this. Theo, who is deaf, gets his own episode and throughout the entire runtime, there is only one line of dialogue. We follow Theo around as he fights with his dad, does some sneaky things, and goes about his life completely shut off from the sounds of the world.
5Oliver’s Dips
One thing that Oliver loves more than the theater is dips. It’s a funny characteristicthat follows him throughout the show, adding more to his eccentric personality. In the second episode of the first season, Oliver boasts about how he has only eaten dips for dinner for years, specifically from Leo Dimas' diner. It is ironic once Oliver finds out Leo’s connection to his son, but Oliver really does love dips.
4Bloody Mabel
From the very first episode, the show pulls you in by giving you a chilling moment from the start. It’s a great tactic that writers use to keep you engaged, and also keep you waiting for the next episode, filled with anticipation over the plot.Mabel is the prime suspect in the murder of Bunny Folger, and throughout season one, we have every reason to believe it’s her that did it. Once she’s arrested the press calls her Bloody Mabel, and the name sticks. Mabel is not the villain of the show, but “Bloody Mabel” makes the audience question everything they thought they knew about who the killer actually is.

3Charles' Fake Monologue
Jan was a great villain, and Amy Ryan was fantastic throughout her time on the show. She’s cunning, malicious, and charming; all characteristics that make a great bad guy, especially on a show like this. In the last episode of the first season, Jan drugs Charles to keep him from helping his friends get to safety. While Charles getting drugged isn’t great, we get a hilarious moment that occurs with him being strapped into a stroller and thinking that he has shaken off his clouded mind. He’s giving a great monologue, telling Jan that she’s done for and all of that, and then it cuts to him, still in the stroller and speaking absolute gibberish.
2Bunny’s Last Day
Throughout the series, it’s proven time and time again that Bunny Folger is a mean woman, who doesn’t care very much for her tenants. While that’s true, Bunny was also a person with a big heart that cared very much for the building that she lived in for more than 30 years. In her special episode, the audience gets to watch her live her last day, which consisted of training Nina to take her position, going to her favorite diner for her usual lunch, and harassing the tenets, which was often a joy for her. It gave the viewers a more in-depth look at her character and why she is such a cold person.
1The Takedown of Poppy
In the season two finale, the tenets of the Arconia, as well as a few outsiders teamed up to take down Poppy, the true murderer of Bunny.Steve Martin and Martin Short are brilliantin this episode, as they work off one another to get Poppy to admit that she was the genius behind all the madness by first blaming it on her boss, Cinda Canning. It’s a scene full of laughs, and also a heart-stopping moment where one main character plays dead in order to really sell it.
