Christopher Nolan’s magnum opus,Oppenheimer, is finally coming to streaming on June 18, 2025, and viewers can tune in toPeacockto see what all the fuss is about. Nominated for 13 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Directing,Oppenheimerhit theaters in July 2023 from Universal Pictures, and became the third highest-grossing film of the year, raking in almost $1 billion dollars at the worldwide box office. Oppenheimerfollows the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer (Best Actor nominee Cillian Murphy) as he leads the Manhattan Project in a pulse-pounding race against the Nazis to develop the first atomic bomb. Along the way, he struggles with his own moral compass and relationships as he must risk destroying the world in order to save it. Murphy is joined by fellow Oscar nomineesRobert Downey Jr. (Best Supporting Actor), who plays Lewis Strauss, and Emily Blunt (Best Supporting Actress), who stars as Oppenheimer’s wife, Katherine.
