Amazon’s upcomingLord of the RingsTV series has finally assembled the fellowship behind the camera. Earlier this month, we reported that J.A Bayona (Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom) would direct the first two episodes. Deadline has now confirmed that Bayona will also serve as executive producer along with his partner Belén Atienza, Bruce Richmond (Game of Thrones), Lindsey Weber (Cloverfield Lane), Gene Kelly (Boardwalk Empire) and Tal Yguado. JD Payne and Patrick McKay will helm the team of creators as head feature writers for the new fantasy series....

Nine-time Grammy winner and two-time Academy Award nominee Mary J. Blige (Mudbound) is set to join the cast of the Netflix original seriesThe Umbrella Academy. She joins a cast ofseries regularsthat already includes Ellen Page as “Vanya”, Tom Hopper as “Luther,” Emmy Raver-Lampman as “Allison,” David Castañeda as “Diego,” Robert Sheehan as “Klaus,” and Aidan Gallagher as “Number Five.” There is no indication yet as to how many more characters still need to be cast at this time....

Emily Deschanelis a doctor again in a new thriller mini-series from Netflix.Devil in Ohio, based on the book of the same name by Daria Polatin, will follow Deschanel as Dr. Suzanne Mathis, a hospital psychiatrist whose life changes forever after she takes in a girl that has escaped from a cult. The Hollywood Reporterconfirmed the series had been picked up for an eight-episode run by the streaming service and that Deschanel was cast as the lead in September 2021....

Netflix has renewed the original series Ozark for Season 2, with 10 new episodes. No production schedule was given forOzarkSeason 2, which will bring back starsJason Batemanand Laura Linney as the Byrde family. While no premiere date has been announced yet, it seems likely that the new season will debut sometime in the summer of 2018. This renewal won’t affect Jason Bateman’s other Netflix series,Arrested Development, since production is beginning this week on the long-awaited fifth season....
