They cater to our craving for suspense and scares, fitting neatly into the pockets of our busy lives. Historically, a lot of the most acclaimed movies tend to be longer and more epic in scale, but that shouldn’t lead us to underplay the merits of a good, succinct horror movie so long as this brevity doesn’t compromise the quality....

“Sk8er Boi” took the punk scene by storm back in 2002 when it first came out, garnering Avril Lavigne the title of the generation’s pop-punk princess. Released as the second single from her debut album, “Let Go,” the song immediately became a commercial success. In addition, “Sk8er Boi” also got Lavigne nominated for a Grammy for “Best Female Rock Vocal Performance” but unfortunately lost it to Sheryl Crow’s “Steve McQueen.” Alongside the song, the music video also gained critical acclaim as well by being voted one of the best music videos of the decade by BT TV....

Fan artist BossLogic has taken the saddest scene inInfinity Warand mashed it up with Disney’s live-action remake ofThe Lion King. Disney recently surprised everybody and dropped the first trailer for Jon Favreau’s take on the 1994 original, stunning fans who have been waiting months to see some official footage of Simba and the gang. Actor Chukwudi Iwuji has further teased his hugely mysterious yet reportedly crucial role in the upcomingMCUoutingGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.Speaking withThe Hollywood Reporterabout joining the Marvel franchise, Iwuji continued to play things coy in regard to his character’s identity, but has offered some clues, including that they are “Extremely powerful.” “Powerful.
