Preydirector Dan Trachtenberg has declared that there is “still time” to add Predator starArnold SchwarzeneggerorPredator 2star Danny Glover to whateverPreysequel may eventually emerge. The director behind thePredatorprequel smash hit was recently asked whether (despitePreybeing set in the 1700s) there were ever any conversations about bringing Schwarzenegger back into the fray. And whether there is the chance of adding Schwarzenegger in a future movie?

“I don’t know how to do things, but I’m learning how to do things. I did learn there was an attempt to have Arnold in Predators. All I’ll say is – there’s still time for those guys. They’re still around, and wouldn’t that be awesome?”

Speaking withVariety, Trachtenberg admitted that he does not yet know quite “how to do things,” suggesting that he isn’t yet sure how he would go about brining Schwarzenegger or Glover back forPrey 2. But, the filmmaker is learning, meaning that, now the idea in his head, he may well begin to explore how exactly Schwarzenegger’s Major Alan “Dutch” Schaefer could once again face-off with the Predator.

Schwarzenegger leads the very firstPredator, which was released way back in 1987, but despite several attemptsto bring the action movie superstar backinto the franchise, he has yet to return.

Danny Glover meanwhile plays LAPD Lieutenant Mike Harrigan in 1990sPredator 2, and while his character does not hold the same iconic weight as Schwarzenegger’s Dutch, it would no doubt make a crowd-pleasing moment to see him in the franchise once again.
