Rainn WilsonandLil Rel Howeryhave just made an exclusive deal with Wayfarer Studios and Circle of Confusion to produce and star in the movieCode 3.It is planned that the film starts production starting in February in L.A. In addition, Aimee Carrero will join the cast, starring opposite Wilson and Howery, according to a report fromDeadline.
The film is set to be directed by Christopher Leone, best known forThe ReplacementandThe Lost Room.Code 3follows the day in the life of two paramedics who have been overworked and burnt out from their stressful jobs. One of them plans to quit, but before he can, he has to train his replacement in one last 24-hour shift. But, then, everything that could happen does happen on the job, from the normal to the crazy to everything in between.
The script for the film was actually written by a former paramedic by the name of Patrick Pianezza as well as Leone. Creative executive Angela Cardon will also oversee the film and act as the single financier. Producers will include Justin Baldoni, Andrew Calof, Lawrence Mattis, Matt Smith, and Paul “Pizza” Pianezza.
