On the heels of the State of the Union address, Showtime will premiere its new animated seriesOur Cartoon President. Executive produced by multipleEmmy winner Stephen Colbertand his Late Show executive producer, Chris Licht, this new 10-episode parody will follow the tru-ish misadventures of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, and his merry band of advisors and family members. R.J. Fried will serve as executive producer and showrunner. Tim Luecke will serve as lead animator and co-executive producer. Matt Lappin will serve as consulting producer. Showtime has debuted the first preview of this upcoming series, which takes some jabs at Donald Trump’s physical well-being.
The preview begins with a special message fromPresident Trump, who is seen walking to the podium before stopping to catch his breath. This cuts to several scenes where he’s struggling to make it as he’s held up by a number of his closest advisors and family members. The final shot features the Cartoon President pleading with viewers to give him an Emmy, a jab at the President’s comments about his reality seriesThe Apprenticenot winning an Emmy. The final shot features cartoon versions of Ted Ryan, Mitch McConnell, the First Lady Melania Trump, the President’s sons Donald Jr. and Eric, Jared Kushner, Stephen Miller, Vice President Mike Pence, Trump’s daughter Ivanka, Ben Carson and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Showtime will give viewers an early preview of the series, making the first episode ofOur Cartoon Presidentavailable across multiple platforms online and On Demand on Sunday, January 28, just two days before President Trump’s State of the Union address on January 30.
