Apple TV+’sSilohas picked up the reins from its first season and continued its success with Season 2. Returning to the top of the Apple TV+ streaming chart on its debut, the new episodes have once again gripped fans, and left them eagerly awaiting more. However, for those who were impressed that Season 1 stuck close to the events of Hugh Howey’s first novel,Wool, showrunner Graham Yost has suggested that Season 2 may be taking some creative liberties to deliver some surprises to both newcomers and those familiar with the novels.

Silotakes place in a post-apocalyptic worldwhere humanity survives in a giant underground silo, cut off from the toxic surface air. The series follows Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson), an engineer who becomes the silo’s new sheriff after uncovering some shocking truths about the silo’s history and its authoritarian leadership. The first season concluded with the cliffhanger ending of Juliette ignoring the rules and leaving the supposed safety of the silo.

When asked in an interview withTVLinewhether Season 2 will end in the same way asWoolends, Yost said:

“In a slightly different way, but yes. To a degree. There’s a big surprise at the end of the season — and that’s all I’ll say.”

‘Silo’ Season 2 Has Been Another Impressive Season So Far

There are many movies and TV shows that deliver stark visions of the future of the world. Along with the likes ofFallout,Silois proving to be one of the best. Season 1 delivered a strong start to the series, but as far as critics are concerned, Season 2 has upped the ante on every level. The second season holds a 96% Tomatometer score, increased from an already strong 88% given to the first season.

What [SPOILER] Death Means for the Future of ‘Silo’

The fourth episode of ‘Silo’ Season 2 featured yet another harrowing death, and this one will have major implications for the story.

While there are plenty of other shows that are happy to blast by the need to world-build just so they can get to the big bangs and thrilling action,Silois not that kind of series. For everyone else, there have still been some small gripes about certain parts being maybe a little too slow for its own good, but on the whole, these are put aside thanks to the incredible writing, layers of intrigue, and the mysteries still to be revealed to those who have not read the novels it is based on.

Now, with Yost’s comments, it seems that even those who have already read the story may not completely be aware of how this adaptation will pan out. Changes made to source material can often be polarizing to long-term fans, and we will not have long to wait to see what changes have been made to the upcoming Season 2 finale, and how they will be received by viewers.
