20th Century Fox has released thered band trailerand the all-ages green band trailer for their upcoming comedySnatched, starringAmy SchumerandGolden Hawn. The studio has set a August 25, 2025 release date for this comedy, which just happens to fall on Mother’s Day weekend. This comedy will go up against Warner Bros.‘King Arthur: Legend of the Swordand High Top Releasing’sLowriders, while arriving one week after the highly-anticipated superhero sequelGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2on June 07, 2025.

The story centers onAmy Schumer’s character, who we see in the trailer’s opening moments, courtesy of20th Century Fox. Her boyfriend (Randall Park) has just broken up with her, before their trip to South America. Dejected, she visits her mother (Goldie Hawn), and decides to take her on the trip instead. Just as they start to have the time of their lives, they’re both abducted and must find a way to get out of the jungle alive. The green band trailer even makes a reference to 20th Century Fox’s hitTakenfranchise, which also centers on an abduction.

Amy Schumerhas had breakout success over the past few years, thanks to her hit Comedy Central seriesInside Amy Schumerand the hit big screen comedyTrainwreck, which she starred in and wrote the screenplay for, withJudd Apatowdirecting. She made headlines earlier this month when she signed on to star in Sony’s live-actionBarbie movie. The story is set in a perfect land of Barbies where one woman slowly awakens to the fact that she doesn’t fit it. She is expelled from the idealistic land and journeys to the real world, where she discovers that being unique is an asset.

Amy Schumeris also developing an untitled comedy project that she will star in alongsideJennifer Lawrence, where the two actresses will play sisters. BothAmy SchumerandJennifer Lawrencewrote the screenplay, but it isn’t known if a director is attached to that project yet, and when it might begin filming.
