The upcomingSpider-Man NoirseriesstarringNicolas Cageis currently in production, and the first set images have now revealed the superhero suit he’ll be sporting in the live-action debut. Titled Spider-Noir, the series will be following the same character voiced by Cage in the acclaimedSpider-Versefilms, a middle-age multiverse variant of Spider-Man that uses old-school gadgets and suit design. It will be a period piece that will take direct inspiration from the comics, if the incredibly accurate superhero suit is anything to judgeSpider-Noirby.
The images leaked onX/Twitter, revealing a stunt person on the set ofSpider-Noirfrom Amazon MGM Studios wearing a comic-accurate superhero suit. The goggles, trench coat, and the period-piece setting are all-too-familiar for fans of the character, who has appeared in animated form on television and on the big screen. While Nicolas Cage is probably not in the suit at the moment of the set images, it can be assumed that he will be donning the iconic outfit at some point. Expect an official look at the upcoming series sooner rather than later due to the production leaks.

Thesteampunk version of Spider-Manhas appeared in a number of mediums. AlthoughSpider-Noiris his live-action debut, fans of the alternate hero can see him inSpider-Verseand playas him in theSpider-Man: Shattered Dimensionsvideo game. The latter is a fan-favorite and widely considered as one of the best Spider-Man games of all time, recently dethroned by the new Insomniac franchise, which appeared in animated films. It’s arguable that’s when Spider-Man Noir became relevant in the superhero space, before Cage made the character his own on the big screen.
Spider-Man Noir First Look Images Look Unreal
Instead of the typical Peter Parker Spider-Man story,Spider-Noirfollowsa classic detective in the 1940s with a steampunk aesthetic. In addition to Cage, the show features Oscar nomineeBrendan Gleesonis set to play the villain in the upcoming series from Amazon. Meanwhile, the supporting cast includes Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, and Amanda Schull. Plot details remain scarce, as well as who Gleeson is playing, but the official logline is quite exciting.
“Spider-Noir tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.”
Spider-Man 4 Is Hitting Theaters Just Two Months After Avengers: Doomsday
Spider-Man 4 will swing into theaters in July 2026, two months after Avengers: Doomsday and one week after Tom Holland’s Christopher Nolan film.
One major question that remains unanswered is ifSpider-Noiris connected to theSpider-Versefilms,or if it is set within the same multiverse as the MCU. More than likely, the upcoming series recruited Cage under the guise that it will be a standalone series, and not necessarily set up something grander. This is probably the best way to tackle one of the more underrated characters in the Spider-Man world. Sony has been intent on creating their own superhero universe with Spidey-related characters, but perhaps leaving projects likeSpider-Noirin its own corner is for the better. After all, the stacked award-winning cast is more than enough to justify the adaptation.
