Born on Jun 20, 2025, Lee made it to the age of 95 when he passed away in 2018. Fans are still missing him years later, and while it’s unfortunate Lee isn’t here to personally join in on the celebration, people weren’t going to let the big day go by without paying tribute.On theofficial Twitter account for Lee, a video was shared of a tribute for Lee that had been set up at Los Angeles Comic-Con. It’s covered with messages from fans wishing Lee ahappy 100th birthdayalong with other heartwarming notes. The messages all surround the phrase, “May your legacy live another 100 years!““100 years ago, Stan was born in NYC,” the tweet also reads. “Over the last century, his work changed the pop culture landscape & influenced millions. At LA Comic Con, fans left messages for Stan’s centennial. Inspiration. Legend. Hero. These are some of the words that came up again & again.”

Stan Lee Is Loved and Missed
Among the many fans paying tribute to Lee online is Kevin Smith. The filmmaker posted some images of himself with Lee and wrote about how much he misses the Marvel creator, who helped bring to life so many of the world’s most beloved superheroes.
Smith’s tweet reads, “Today, (Stan Lee) would’ve turned 100 years old! The Marvel maestro was always a hero of mine, but thanks to making MALLRATS with him, we actually became friends! I miss the Old Man and his endless parade of smiles and good cheer. Happy Birthday, Emperor of Excelsior!”
Marvel also got in on the tributes, sharing artwork of Lee along with the message, “The man behind it all. Join us in celebrating what would have been the 100th birthday of Stan Lee.”
And, of course, there are countless posts from others around the world, as Lee and his work have meant so much to so many people. Fans are making this known with their tributes, some noting just how much of an inspiration Lee had always been for them.
“Happy Birthday to the creator of Marvel himself the Legendary Stan Lee and he was a part of our childhood and adulthood and he inspired us all we love you King and miss you,” as one fan writes.
