You could be forgiven for assuming that any actor wearing a costume that covers their face has some way of being aware of their surroundings. ForThe Mandalorian’sPedro Pascalthat doesn’t seem to be the case as the actor revealed in a very blunt way that he really doesn’t get to see much at all when wearing his Mandalorian helmet.

Speaking toEmpireabout the upcoming third season ofThe Mandalorian, Pascal addressed how the impressive armour he wears as the title character leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to being able to see what he is doing. He said:

the mandalorian flying

“It puts you in the world so completely, and instantly makes the character feel real - but you may’t see sh*t!. [The helmet] fogs up in the narrow slit that you can see though [and there is] no peripheral vision. If there’s a hole, I’m gonna fall into it. It’s like putting on a head to toe glove with weights on.”

While this clearly doesn’t make the wearing of the armor an easy task, the look of the costume is impeccable in creating the character on screen. Having spent almost two whole seasons inside the armor, it can only be marvelled at how the actor has managed to get through filming without ending up being on the floor on numerous occasions.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Will Be a Huge Disney+ Show This Year

When the latest trailer for the season arrived in January, it waswatched by 83.5 million people in the first 24 hours, breaking the previous record for aStar Warsshow set byObi-Wan Kenobi. Not only did it beat the Ewan McGregor-led series, but did so by a huge margin, with that trailer having pulled in 53 million views in the same time period.

The Mandalorianhas always been one of the most watched shows on the Disney+ platform, beating off competition from Marvel and most otherStar Warsshows to be one of the most consistently praised and in demand properties the streaming service has to offer. Whether that will continue in season 3 is yet to be seen, but Pedro Pascal is certainly excited for what the new season brings in terms of scope and scale. He previously said:

“What I love most about Season 3 is how much the world opens up in terms of Mandalore and Mandalorians. That means so many different facets of culture, politics, and rules and discoveries. Delicious doors are flying wide open.”

With anew world opening up insideThe Mandalorian,it is hard to imagine that this will be where the story ends, and with Jon Favreau having already teased work on season 4 having been underway for some time, the story ofThe Mandalorianis certain to be feeling The Force for a few years yet.

Season 3 ofThe Mandalorianwill arrive on Disney+ on March 1, with new episodes releasing on the platform weekly.
