Sylvester Stallonefans have reacted in shock after the action hero hailedDonald Trumpas being akin to his character of Rocky Balboa, and said that he could be the “next George Washington.”The Expendablesstar was speaking at a black tie event celebrating the new president’s victory against Democrat Kamala Harrisjust over a week ago when he made the comments that left his fans unimpressed.
In the lead up to the election, many stars threw their weight behind one candidate or the other, and there was an unprecedented show of support for Harris, which included anunexpected endorsement from former Republican Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger. However,Stallone was someone who remained very quiet before the votes were counted, but now it seems that everyone knows where his vote was cast. In a speech at the event, Stallone said:
“When I made Rocky, if you remember the first image was a picture of Jesus and it said ‘Resurrection, AC Club’. I found a church that had been converted into a boxing ring. So the image pans down from Jesus on to Rocky being hit and that moment he was the chosen person, and that’s how I began the journey. Something was going to happen, this man was going to go through a metamorphosis and change lives. Just like President Trump.
We’re in the presence of a really mythical character. I love mythology. This individual does not exist on this planet. Nobody in the world could have pulled off what he pulled off, so I’m in awe.”
