.Prime Video’s belovedR-rated superhero show,The Boys, boasts a plethora of superheroes with admirable powers. Homelander’s god-like abilities, A-Train’s super-speed, and Soldier Boy’s ability to disempower any supe, are some of themost powerful and best abilities in the show. However, in a universe where superheroes are as common as cars on the road, there are many supes who got dealt a terrible hand.

Characters like Hughie Campbell and his naked teleportation, Sky and her ability to control human excrement, and The Deep’s comical ability to talk to fish, are some of the worst powers in the show. Some of the supes' powers are so bad that they can’t be considered superheroes. So, without further ado, here are some of the worst superpowers in Prime Video’sThe Boys.

Hughie in The Boys Season 3

10Naked Teleportation - Hughie Campbell

After taking a dose of Temp V, a form of Compound V that grants its user temporary superpowers, Hughie Campbell is gifted the ability to teleport almost anywhere he can put his mind to. However, there’s one major downside; he, and anyone he teleports, lose all their clothes.

Why Naked Teleportation Is an Awful Superpower

While Hughie’s naked teleportation does have one major caveat, it does have a pretty significant benefit. It allows Hughie to teleport in and out of danger at his own will, saving his and Starlight’s lives numerous times. But we just can’t shake the fact that wherever he lands, he is left stark naked. It does lead to some comical moments in the show, but we certainly don’t want this ability ourselves.

9Weapon Accuracy - Gunpowder and Eagle the Red Archer

Deriving much of his powers from the likes of the DC assassins Deadshot and Deathstroke, Gunpowder never misses his target. This right-wing idealist is a master of firearms, ensuring that he always hits his target with pinpoint accuracy. With a very similar ability, Eagle the Red Archer is essentially the Green Arrow, or Hawkeye, ofThe Boysuniverse, opting to use a bow and arrow above other weapons.

Why Weapon Accuracy Is an Awful Superpower

Pinpoint weapon accuracy isn’t the worst power in the world, but it just doesn’t quite compare to the powers of Homelander, for example. Most supes inThe Boysuniverse have a layer of invulnerability. So, when face-to-face with a fellow supe, the ability to hit your target more accurately just feels very inconsequential. Particularly, if you plan on launching a sharp “stick” at one of them. If anything, it would just make them angry.

The Boys: Why The Series is Still The Best Comic Book Show

The hyper-violent superhero satirical comedy, The Boys, is without a doubt the best comic book TV show to date, and here’s why.

8Regeneration - Gecko

Given the name Gecko for his regenerative healing ability, Matthew Culbert is one of the kinder supes inThe Boysuniverse. Which isn’t exactly high praise. This nerdy, super-powered human charges customers to cut off his limbs as a form of therapy. Like a smash room, if you will. But instead of smashing TVs and printers, you chop, chainsaw, or break the limbs off of this kind-hearted supe. Thankfully, he doesn’t feel any pain.

Why Regeneration Is an Awful Superpower

A healing ability sounds awesome in theory. The ability to grow your limbs back instantly without feeling pain seems like a win-win. That is, until you realize that the power doesn’t grant invulnerability. And with numerous supes exploding in a bloody mess, this ability loses all its merits. At least Gecko is capitalizing on his otherwise fruitless ability.

7Energy Blasts - TNT Twins

As a clear parody of the Wonder Twins, Thomas and Teresa, more commonly known as the TNT Twins, have the ability to generate mass blasts of plasma, obliterating their foes. However, these former members of the Payback superhero team can only activate their powers when holding hands.

Why the TNT Twins' Energy Blast Is an Awful Superpower

This one is fairly obvious. While the gargantuan energy blast the two can shoot at their foes is incredibly powerful, it becomes useless when the two get separated. What happens if the two get blasted apart from one another? Or one of them is attacked while the other is out shopping? On their own, their power is meaningless, but together, it is mighty. You just have to verify you’re always in arm’s reach of your twin, which, nine times out of 10, is very unlikely.

6Talking to Fish - The Deep

As a former member of the Seven, The Deep, also known as Kevin Moskowitz, harnesses very similar abilities to Aquaman. He can swim underwater, and he has the ability to talk to sea life. After getting booted from the Seven for sexually assaulting Starlight, The Deep has since been on a journey of self-discovery, writing a memoir, and marrying the manipulative woman of his dreams. Now, he’s unrightfully earned his place back in the Seven, where he continues to be manipulated by Homelander.

Why Talking to Fish Is an Awful Superpower

The ability to talk to fish isn’t on anyone’s superpower wishlist. This comically bad superpower is one of the most useless powers imaginable, even near water. One unforgettable moment in the show sees The Deep riding on the back of a Whale to stop Billy Butcher, Hughie Campbell, Kimiko, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie from escaping with a supe terrorist. This encounter resulted in the whale getting skewered by a large boat, proving how useless this power really is. With this power being incompetent even on water, it’s hard to imagine how truly terrible this power would be on land.

5Excrement Manipulation - Sky

Sky, the lead protagonist in the animated short “BFFs”, is a new girl in town who struggles to find friends, which leads her to steal a vial of Compound V from a low-level drug dealer. Determined to get great superpowers and to make friends, Sky is burdened with the disappointing ability to control human excrement. While her wish of getting great powers wasn’t granted, she may still be able to “make” some friends after all.

Why Excrement Manipulation Is an Awful Superpower?

Harboring the ability to control human excrement is a nasty power. But it’s not without its benefits. This power is destined to gross out any supe that tries to attack her. Just look at The Deep, who made a brilliant appearance in Sky’s respective episode. It has the benefit of “making” friends, and the ability’s gross foundations will ward off any attacking supe.

4Slow-Motion - Mo-Slo

A short entitled “An Animated Short Where P****d Off Teens Kill Their Parents” in the beloved spin-off seriesThe Boys: Diabolical, features a plethora of young teens with useless powers. One of them was Mo-Slo, a superpowered human who walks really slowly. Essentially being gifted the power of slow-motion. As a young child, much like every other teen at the Red River Assisted Living for the Gifted Child Center, Mo-Slo was dumped by his parents for having useless power. Now, as the title of the short suggests, he seeks vengeance, and sets off on a mission to kill his parents. But it may take a while.

Why Slow-Motion Is an Awful Superpower?

This one is pretty self-explanatory. In aworld with an evil Superman, devilish speedsters, and an immortal super-Nazi, the power of slow-motion is some of the worst luck any supe can get. You can’t run away from danger. You can’t fight back. It’s a wholly worthless superpower. The ending of the animated short is a perfect summary of his useless power, with Homelander unleashing his lasers upon Mo-Slo and the rest of the vengeful teens. Leaving nothing but their charred remains.

3Narrating - The Narrator

Another orphan at the Red River Assisted Living for Gifted Children, the Narratorhas the simple ability to… narrate. Left disfigured and bound to a wheelchair, the Narrator catches audiences up on the story, and the characters in the aforementioned animated short.

Why Narrating Is an Awful Superpower?

Where is the ability to narrate your and other people’s lives going to get you in the world ofThe Boys? If you suggested nowhere, you are correct. It doesn’t grant you invulnerability, super-strength, or super-speed, but, you are gifted with the ability to narrate in the voice of beloved actor, Christian Slater. The only upside to an otherwise awful ability.

2Acid Reflux - Sage Grove Patient

Vought, the evil corporation responsible for creating Compound V, uses numerous psychiatric hospitals all over America to perfect their precious formula. One of these hospitals comes in the form of the Sage Grove Center. A hospital full of supes with dangerous powers like telekinesis, and useless ones like acid reflux.

Why Acid Reflux Is an Awful Power?

In theory, having the ability to vomit acid all over your opponent could give you a fantastic edge in battle. However, there’s one major caveat. You’re not actually immune to your own acid vomit, rendering the whole ability useless.

1The Love Sausage - Love Sausage

Love Sausage is one of the more unique supes inThe Boysuniverse, boasting the ability to effortlessly control his sexual organ. After making a small appearance as a patient in the Sage Grove Center, Love Sausage returned in the infamous “Herogasm” episode, where we, unfortunately, saw a lot more of him, if you know what we mean.

Why “The Love Sausage” Is the Worst Power in The Boys Universe

There are plenty of disturbing superpowers inThe Boysuniverse, but Love Sausage’s unique ability has to be given the award for the most perplexing. To give credit where credit is due, what Love Sausage is capable of doing with his… “love sausage”, is pretty impressive. He can strangle his foes in an incredibly embarrassing death, as well as wrap it around his enemies' waists or feet, reeling them in for a killing blow. But with very little durability, if one were to cut or laser off his extremity, his ability would then be rendered useless.
