During The CW’s presentation at the TCA summer tour, the network unveiled the dates for its annualArrowverse crossover, but this year will be much more condensed. Last year, the crossover spanned all four nights of the network’s superhero lineup, starting withSupergirlon Monday,The Flashon Tuesday,Arrowon Wednesday andLegends of Tomorrowon Thursday, but this year the crossover has been shrunk to a two-night affair with a two-hour block each night. The episodes will air Monday, November 27 and Tuesday, November 28 on The CW this fall.

Deadlinereports that on the Monday, November 27 episode,Supergirl(Melissa Benoist) will team up withArrow(Stephen Amell), marking a one-night-only move to Mondays forArrow, which is switching to Thursday nights at 9 PM this season, followingSupernatural. Then on Tuesday, November 28,The Flash(Grant Gustin) will cross over toLegends of Tomorrow, which makes sense since they both air on Tuesday nights starting this season, withThe Flashairing at 8 PM ET andLegendsairing at 9 PM ET. Here’s what The CW Network president Mark Pedowitz had to say about their approach to this year’s crossovers.

“Last year’s (crossover) was the most successful week in CW history in terms of ratings and everything. We felt in this particular case we had Flash on Legends paired, so it was better to make it two two-hour movies, a miniseries, we thought this was the best way to go. We had a lot of conversations with producers and marketing people. Next year, we might go back to four nights.”

WhenThe CW fall schedulewas announced in May, some fans were surprised thatThe FlashandLegendswere paired together, withArrowmoving to Thursdays at 9, with the long-runningSupernaturalas its lead-in. This freed up the network to create a whole new non-superhero block on Wednesdays, withRiverdalereturning for its second season in the 8 PM time slot, followed by the new drama seriesDynasty. The network will also be bringing in another superhero show in mid-season,Black Lightning, so the schedule may change yet again. Mark Pedowitz added thatSupergirl"really found its groove" on The CW, after debuting its first season on CBS, and had this to say aboutThe FlashandLegends.

“It’s about finding the lightness in Barry Allen that he had in the first two seasons. As far as Legends, they had a rough first season, but they had the most fun second season anyone could have.”

Last year, The CW also aired an additional musical crossover betweenThe FlashandSupergirl, which featured Kara and Barry transported back in time to a 1920s nightclub owned by the mob. It hasn’t been confirmed if The CW is planning an additional spin-off for this upcoming season. The CW premiere datesannounced in June revealed thatSupergirlwill kick off The CW’s season with its Season 3 premiere on Monday, October 9 at 8 PM, followed by the new seriesValorat 9 PM.The FlashSeason 4 premiere debuts Tuesday, October 10 at 9 PM ET with theLegends of TomorrowSeason 3 premiere following that same night at 9 PM, withArrowSeason 6 kicking off Thursday, October 12. Hopefully we’ll find out more about this Arrowverse crossover as we get closer to these hit superhero shows returning to The CW.
