Today we have word that the studio has foundSeth Grahame-Smith’s replacement, withDopedirectorRick Famuyiwasigning on.
Deadlinereports that a deal should be hammered out quickly for the director, while confirming that the studio is still keepingSeth Grahame-Smith’s script. The project would have markedSeth Grahame-Smith’s directing debut, although the studio reportedly wanted a more seasoned director at the helm.Rick Famuyiwa’s vision is said to be very “compatible” with the script, with the studio believing that his take will resonate with younger viewers.
Ezra Millerwill return as Barry Allen/The Flash, after making his DCEU debut past this spring in aBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicecameo. No other cast members have been confirmed yet, but it has been recently rumored thatRay Fisher’sCyborgwill team up with Barry Allen in this movie. Warner Bros. has set a August 23, 2025 release date forThe Flash movie, which currently has no direct competition. Production is currently under way onJustice League Part 1, under the direction ofZack Snyder, which has a July 13, 2025 release date in place. We reported that theJustice League Part 1story will carry over into bothThe FlashandAquaman(June 14, 2025), beforeJustice League Part 2hits theaters on June 25, 2025.
