The pair of directors are looking to team up with even more industry A-listers with their next film for Netflix,The Electric State.
A report fromDeadlineconfirms Michelle Yeoh, Stanley Tucci, Jason Alexander, Brian Cox, and Jenny Slate will join the cast of the upcoming film, which already includesStranger ThingsstarMillie Bobby BrownandGuardians of the Galaxylead Chris Pratt.The Electric Stateis described as an adaptation of the illustrated novel by Simon Stålenhag set in a retro-futuristic past. An orphan teenager, played by Brown, traverses the American West with a sweet but mysterious robot and an eccentric drifter in search of her younger brother.

The Russos will helm the film, with Mike Larocca, Chris Cataldi, and Patrick Newall producing. Angela Russo-Otstot, Jake Aust, Geoff Haley, Stephen McFeely, and Jeff Ford Markus will serve as executive producers. There’s no official release date forThe Electric Statequite yet, as the pair just finished up withThe Gray Man. However, expect to see the duo begin work on their next film soon and a possible 2024 release date.
The Electric StateEnsemble Cast Has Been Busy
Millie Bobby Brown is having a tremendous year, reprising her role as Eleven in the long-awaited, penultimate fourth season ofStranger Things. The series aired its finale on July 1, and the eventual fifth and final season is expected to arrive on Netflix in the next few years, with the writers already beginning work on it.
