Edge of Tomorrow,Tom Cruise’s bestsci-fimovie, is streaming on a new platform soon. The film is set to join Hulu’s library starting June 1, giving fans ofthe Hollywood legenda chance to see him in one of his stand-alone (unfortunately) movies.Edge of Tomorrowsees Cruise co-starring with Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton and Brendan Gleeson. It is based on the screenplay written by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth, andMission: Impossibledirector Christopher McQuarrie.

Edge of Tomorrowis one of Cruise’s most underrated movies. He certainly plays a different kind of character. William Cage is portrayed as a weak-ish and inexperienced military officer who has had the luck to stay off of the battlefield. However, his plans to remain a public affairs representative don’t go well. Per the film’s official plot synopsis:

A Few Good Men, The Firm, Jerry Maguire

An alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop-forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Vrataski take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy!
