Nice! Now I don’t know about you, but I firmly belong in the camp that screamsMad Max: Fury Roadis one of the most excellent motion pictures to hit the big screen in decades. In fact, along with Joel and Ethan Coen’sNo Country for Old Men, George Miller’sMad Max: Fury Roadis one of the few movies I would go so far as to call “perfect.” High praise, I know. But if you disagree, it’s most likely because you haven’t seen the movie yet. Holy hell, the film is good.
The big question is: When will these sequels actually go into production? Well, that’s going to be a hot minute. As of now, George Miller is getting ready to shoot his next project,Three Thousand Years of Longing. This will be an arduous process, and it will take a few years to complete. So it will probably be at least two years before the first of these upcomingMad Maxsequels actually take off and become a reality. Also, George Miller isn’t known for his speedy productions. We’ll probably be midway through the next decade before Max returns on the big screen. My guess would be 2025 at the earliest.

It centers on a tyrannical leader namedImmortan Joewho enslaves apocalypse survivors inside the desert fortress the Citadel. All seems to be going well for Immortan Joe until Charlize Theron steals Joe’s five wives and escapes into the endless desert with the help of Tom Hardy. The two then lead the ruthless warlord and his henchmen in a deadly high-speed chase through the Wasteland, fortified in the massive, armored truck known as the War Rig.
Along with Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky and Charlize Theron as Imperator Furiosa, George Miller’sMad Max: Fury Roadstarred Hugh Keays-Byrne as Immortan Joe and Nicholas Hoult as Nux. Immortan Joe’s five wives included Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as The Splendid Angharad, Riley Keough as Capable, Zoë Kravitz as Toast the Knowing, Abbey Lee as The Dag, and Courtney Eaton as Cheedo the Fragile.
Nathan Jones joined them as Rictus Erectus, along with Josh Helman as Slit, John Howard as The People Eater, Richard Carter as The Bullet Farmer, Angus Sampson as The Organic Mechanic, iOTA as The Doof Warrior, Quentin Kenihan as Corpus Colossus, and Coco Jack Gillies as Glory the Child. Chris Patton also stars as Morsov, along with Stephen Dunlevy as The Rock Rider Chief / The Winchman, and Richard Norton as The Prime Imperator. Megan Gale rounded out the cast as The Valkyrie, along with Melissa Jaffer as Keeper of the Seeds, and Melita Jurisic, Gillian Jones, Joy Smithers, Antoinette Kellerman, and Christina Koch as The Vuvalini.
George Miller directedMad Max: Fury Roadfrom a screenplay he co-wrote along with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller also produced the hit movie along with Doug Mitchell and PJ Voeten. Junkie XL provided the film with its killer score while John Seale handled the movie’s cinematography, and Margaret Sixel edited it all together into a masterpiece. Warner Bros. Pictures, Village Roadshow Pictures, Kennedy Miller Mitchell, and RatPac-Dune Entertainment were the production companies behind the $150 million film. Warner Bros.
