Last year, Banks was joined by Ribeiro as co-host following the show’s move to Disney+. Banks made the announcement in a chat withTMZ. She commented on how business has been booming with Smize & Dream, Banks' ice cream company. Looking to expand, the reality television star let it be known that she’s ready to move on fromDancing with the Starsto put mor focus into her business, but that’s not to say she’s stepping away from television entirely, though she’d rather work on her own content by this point. From the interview:

“I’m really focused on business, like crazy, crazy, crazy focused on business. Where Smiling Dream is global, not just in the UAE but in many other countries that you’ll see. So, I feel it’s time for me to really focus on my business, and my entrepreneurship, and also producing more TV. But behind the scenes. You know that I think? I think it’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor.”

Tyra Banks Wants to Move On
Asked to clarify if this really meant she was leavingDancing with the Stars, Banks went on to further explain that it’s indeed time to do so, as hosting the program simply takes up too much of her time. Again, she reassures fans that there will still be new content to look out for from her, but it will be with new programs she creates.
“I think it’s time. Don’t you think it’s time? Yeah, I think it’s time. You know what? I am an entrepreneur at heart. I think my heart, my soul, is into my business. It’s also into producing new TV, which we’re working on. We’ve got a new business show coming soon. I really, really, really wanna focus on my business, and you can’t do that hosting a show. So, you’ll see me creating things, not just hosting things. So, we’ve got some big things… From the ballroom to the boardroom, baby!”
