This special has been highly-publicized because it will include the cast of NBC’s iconic sitcom Friends, who will be reuniting for the first time in several years. The initial report from last month claimed that all of the mainFriendsstars will be present at this event,Jennifer Aniston,Courteney Cox,Lisa Kudrow,Matt LeBlanc,Matthew PerryandDavid Schwimmer. However, just one week later, another report revealed thatMatthew Perryactually won’t be in attendance, since he is starring in a new play in London entitled The End of Longing. The actor later confirmed that he will introduce his fellow cast members through a video from London.

James Burrows recently directed his 1,000thTV episode. Over the course of his career, he directed 15 episodes ofFriends. The special won’t just focus on theFriendsaspect of his career though.
