One of the most memorable moments of last year’s blockbusterGuardians of the Galaxycame at the very end, whereBaby Grootwas seen dancing to Jackson 5’s classic “I Want You Back,” while Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) cleans his massive blades. The scene also created one of the biggest questions for the sequelGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as fans wondered how big or smallVin Diesel’s Groot will be in this follow-up. While promotingThe Last Witch HunterwithIGN,Vin Dieselteased that he wants to see a “gigantic Groot” in this superhero follow-up.

“I’ve talked toJames Gunnabout that. I can’t give it away but I would love to see gigantic Groot. I’d love to throw him into a forest and see how much mass that he consumes after devouring all the trees. Imagine throwing him into Central Park in New York City. I just want to see Giant Groot.”

Back in January, writer-directorJames Gunnteased that Baby Groot may actually be Groot’s son, and that Groot may be dead, but that hasn’t been confirmed. The director also revealed in August thatVin Dieselwill be back to voice Groot, but it isn’t known if he will actually say more than just “I am Groot,” or if his vocabulary will be expanded. At the end ofGuardians of the Galaxy, Groot did throw fans a curveball, saying “We are Groot,” so it’s possible that this large tree creature may have learned a few new words inGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

The filmmaker also revealed last week that he will feature aliens known as Sneepers, which were initially banned by Marvel’s legal department, since the word Sneeper translates to “clitoris” in the Icelandic language.

James Gunnhas already started pre-production onGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2in Atlanta, with principal photography slated to begin in January or February of 2016.
