Will Smithis known for making audiences laugh, but does he have what it takes to be the butt of a joke? TheBad Boysstarcould be in line as the latest celebrity to take part in Netflix’s live roast. Smith is reportedly among various celebrities that the streaming service is considering, but nothing is set in stone. Netflix declined to comment, but the possibility of the actor being front and center for an old-fashioned roast of a lifetime is not a bad idea.

Not only will the ratings probably be high, as many will tune in to see what fellow comedians, family or even friends have to say about Smith, but it’ll also be interesting to see how the actor will react. From the infamous Oscars slap to his relationship with his wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, and other things, nothing would be off limits if this were to happen.

Chris Rock Reveals Whether He’d Host the Oscars Again After the Notorious Will Smith Slap of 2022

The actor and comedian was coy when responding to a request about hosting the Oscars again in the future.

It would followThe Roast of Tom Brady, which took over every social media site in 2024. The three-hour comedy special saw the Patriots Hall of Famer get roasted by what seemingly felt like everyone. Hosted by Kevin Hart, there was no amount of preparation that could prepare the former NFL quarterback for the comedic storm coming his way.

Although there’s potential that this could happen to Smith, according toPuck, the idea hasn’t reached CAA or Smith’s management, so hold off on your excitement — for now, at least.

Would the hyper-managed star open himself up to blistering Nikki Glaser jokes about The Slap, Jada, the kids, all of it? Probably not, and so far, this is a very informal overture—it hasn’t even reached CAA or his management. But the Brady roast generated 22 million views in its first few months, and that special was only available in the U.S. Smith’s would no doubt be way bigger, and it could be exactly the kind of unexpected move that resonates.
